Do you want to contribute to safety and well-being in Karlskrona? We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference in people's everyday lives by creating a safe and welcoming environment in our public spaces. We are currently seeking a safety officer to cover a parental leave.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a safety officer, you are an important part of the municipality's work for increased safety. You move in urban environments, meet people, and build relationships. Your presence prevents conflicts and creates a sense of security for residents and visitors. The core of the work is genuine respect and interest for everyone you meet, as well as the view of everyone's equal value.

The position is within the municipal management department, and we offer a meaningful role where you actively contribute to a sustainable society. We are a good and engaged team looking forward to contributing to a safe community together with you.

Your responsibilities

• Be visible and accessible in public environments through footwork and driving
• Prevent and manage situations that may create insecurity
• Collaborate with municipal operations, police, and other stakeholders
• Be a support for residents and contribute to a positive atmosphere

Qualities

• Good social skills and comfortable in meeting people
• Calm, solution-oriented, and respectful in interactions
• Able to work both independently and in a team
• You need to be able to move freely during longer work shifts and be outdoors in varying weather conditions

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school education
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
• Experience collaborating with police, social services, or community organizations is an advantage
• Training in conflict management, mediation, or customer service is an advantage
• Experience in service, order maintenance, security work, or social work is an advantage
• Other languages besides Swedish are an advantage
• Driver's license (B)
